More shots of the "Probable" Mew Gull.....

Here is a few more shots of the "Probable" Mew Gull at Albert Village Lake.

The bird was seen again this morning around 10.30am by Andy Forryan and Ben Croxtall, but I missed it by a few minutes!
Other sightings I saw during the morning and early afternoon included a nice looking adult Caspian Gull, one summer plumaged Med Gull, a brief adult Kittiwake and an assortment of well-known faces!?!

why did neil howes turn up to look for a gull without a scope? What a tw*t.

Neil never uses a scope as he cannot stand still for five minutes!

Hmmm, a tad unfair that. A bad shot that just catches Neil looking the other way... I'm such a twat that I can't even be arsed to go for the bird. I have every sympathy with Neil as looking at gulls a mind-numbingly boring especially a possible/probable/maybe/who fucking cares... if you're such a big shot Mr Razzler why aren't you posting your thoughts or are you too busy beating off on The Hun's pages?

Oh and by the way Razzler it doesn't look like everyone else is looking in the same direction...

John,me thinks Razzler has a chip on his shoulder with Mr Howes?!
I know you can't be asked to go have a look at the Mew Gull but a couple of members of the BBRC,Mr Vinnicombe and Brett Richards have been over!? ;-]

All power to them... I rather be kicked in the bollocks!
Likewise.

I note that no-one who really knows what they're talking about has come out and said "yes it's definitely a Mew Gull", and on that basis alone you have to suspect that either it isn't one, or they aren't identifiable out of range. Doesn't bode well for it ever being accepted and/or split!

Well its not a European Common Gull! but did get an email from an American birder who comment that it looked perfect for Mew Gull!

I guess the BBRC will have to decide... if it gets that far!
davidearlgray said…
I know that its going to be submitted to BBRC and BIRDWATCH magazine are writing an article on it!

I have to be honest Dave... I couldn't give a toss.

John I respect your view but if it does turn out to be a first for the UK and is split can I say "I told you soon!";-]
